Hector Minjarez, widely recognized as DJ CO1, is a prominent figure in the Las Vegas music and broadcasting scene. His career began in Southern California in the late 1990s, and he has since become a versatile DJ, radio personality, and music director.
Career Highlights
📻 Radio Broadcasting: Hector holds the position of Assistant Program Director and on-air DJ for both 98.5 KLUC and (KXQQ) Q100.5 in Las Vegas. He hosts several popular segments, including the midday show on Q100.5 and “Club 985 AfterHours” on KLUC, featuring renowned artists like Diplo, Zedd, Armin Van Buuren, and Steve Aoki.
🏈🏀⚽️ Sports Entertainment: He serves as the in-game DJ and Music Director for the Las Vegas Raiders and has been the in-game DJ for UNLV Football for over 13 seasons.
🔉 Event Production: As a co-owner of Notable Sound LLC, Hector’s company provides DJ, sound, and lighting services for various events, including private parties, weddings, and corporate functions.
🏆 Recognition: In 2023, Hector was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, acknowledging his significant contributions to the state’s broadcasting industry.
🏙️ Community Engagement: Beyond his professional endeavors, Hector is actively involved in community service, volunteering for organizations like Las Vegas Metro (Office of Community Engagement), the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation and participating in events such as Nevada Reading Week.
